The daily life of a salesperson can be chaotic with a lot of pressure and many different tasks that need to be completed. This can create a lot of stress if you don’t have the right level of organization in place. One thing you can do to minimize the chaos and stress is to compartmentalize your day and week to create segments of time for the different categories of tasks that you need to work on. For example, you can create windows of time for cold calling, administrative tasks, sales training, networking, customer calls, etc.

The way to apply this is that during a particular block of time, you will stop everything else that you have to do and only focus on the category of tasks that you have designated for that time. This focus can not only help you to stay on top of completing what you need to do, but it can also help you to decrease stress by having more clarity and control for what you need to work on.
